  1. My Bloomsdale spinach has grown beautifully and delicious! I’ve found that spinach is one of the easiest things for me to grow. I’m not an experienced gardener. None of my friends or relatives thought I could grow anything, because I have always had career responsibilities that kept me from having time to garden, so they thought I just didn’t know how, which was also true. I surprised them by plexi-glassing my screened-in porch and turning it into a greenhouse. All of a sudden they were asking ME for advice! In the middle of a snow and ice storm I had spinach, Romaine lettuce, onions, garlic, and squash!

Everyone seemed surprised that I soaked the seeds (very easy—just add water—even I can that part without breaking a sweat), sowed them, transplanted the seedlings and as always, I’m just amazed that something I planted from seed is actually growing. It’s so pretty that I almost hated to harvest the spinach, but I did.

The spinach is DELICIOUS! It tastes so much better than store-bought spinach because it’s fresh.

I planted 7 different veggies and these have definitely been the most successful so far. I only planted half of the seeds and they have had a much better sprout rate than any other the others. So far, so good!
